Ingredients
- 2 pounds beef chuck roast, sliced thin
- 2 tablespoons oil
- ยฝ cup diced white onion
- salt and black pepper
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 package of sliced fresh mushrooms (white button mushrooms work great)
- ยฝ cup full-fat sour cream
- 1 (8-ounce) package of wide egg noodles, cooked, drained, and kept warm
Instructions
Add oil, strips of beef, and onion to a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook until the beef has browned. Season with salt and pepper.
Add flour and mix well. Add beef broth and stir frequently until boiling and bubbly.
Make sure the seasoned sauce is whisked so there are no chunks.
Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
Add mushrooms and cook for 5 minutes or until soft.
