Happy Fall, y’all! With football games, parties, and lots of other fun things to celebrate, we are all on the lookout for some quick and easy snacks. It’s time we start thinking outside the box and enjoy some snacks with a little umph! to them.
I walked into the store the other day and found inspiration in the deli section where I saw a Chicken Bacon Ranch sub sandwich. I thought it would be fun to take those flavors and create a hot dip that would be perfect for these nice, cool fall nights.
While shopping, I picked up Hormel Real Bacon Pieces and Hormel Chunk Chicken. I also got a bottle of prepared Ranch salad dressing and a block of cream cheese. When I got home, I mixed the ingredients in a large bowl and put the mixture into an 8-inch cast iron skillet.
I baked it for about 24 minutes and took out this nice, hot, bubbly dip that goes great with crackers.
The cheesy flavor with the bacon and chicken is hearty and delicious.
Hormel Real Bacon Bits are 100% real bacon and are a great addition to salads, snacks, and meals. An added bonus is that there is no prep on our part when using them – the bacon is already cooked and there is no plan for us to clean up!

I made it in the crock pot, low heat unless you’re in a rush, then high is fine. Just keep stirring every now and then. This recipe is awesome because you can add different ingredients and experiment. I added some buffalo sauce and it was great.
