This Homemade Coffee Liqueur is low-carb and keto-friendly and will help you make the best iced and hot coffee adult beverages while still being able to stay within your macros.

This Kahlua-like recipe is made using keto-friendly erythritol which adds absolutely zero carbs to the mix. Each 2-ounce serving has only 54 calories. Combine that with some hot coffee on a cold day and you have a delicious adult pick-me-up that’s diet-friendly.

Ingredients

To make this delicious adult beverage, you need the following ingredients:

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup powdered erythritol
  • ยผ cup plus 2 Tablespoons instant espresso granules
  • 1 cup vodka
  • 2 Tablespoons pure vanilla extract

How To Make Low-Carb Coffee Liqueur

You begin by bringing water to a boil in a medium saucepan over high heat. Mix in erythritol and espresso and then reduce the heat to low. Whisk until the erythritol and espresso granules dissolve and then remove the pan from the heat and let stand until cool, about 1 hour.

Next, mix the vodka and vanilla extract into the cooled espresso mixture. Transfer the liqueur to a large jar, seal, and store it away from light, for 4 to 6 weeks before drinking.

Store the coffee liqueur in a pantry for up to 6 months. Be sure to shake before using it.
