Tips & Tricks

  • Personalize your overnight oats with your favorite toppings or mix-ins. Experiment with different fruits, nuts, seeds, or spices (cinnamon is great!) to create endless flavor combinations. One of my favorite add-ins is miniature chocolate chips.
  • If you’re not a fan of flaxseed, you can omit it from the recipe without any substitutions. However, flaxseed is known for its health benefits.
  • Substitute honey for maple syrup if preferred, or adjust the sweetness level to suit your taste preferences.
  • While almond milk is recommended for its creamy texture and nutritional benefits, you can use any type of milk you prefer, including dairy or plant-based alternatives like soy milk.
  • Both steel-cut oats and rolled oats will work well in this recipe, providing a hearty and satisfying base for your overnight oats.
  • If you prefer a thinner consistency, simply add more milk to the recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup almond milk
  • 1/2 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1/4 cup Fresh fruit
  • 1/2 tablespoon pure maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon ground flaxseed
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

Directions

Place the oats in the bottom of a 12-ounce mason jar. Add fresh berries, maple syrup, ground flaxseed, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt on top of the oats.

Pour the almond milk over the top, ensuring that all ingredients are well combined.

Stir the mixture until evenly distributed. Securely seal the jar with a lid and refrigerate overnight, or for a minimum of 4 hours.

Notes for Storing: Once prepared, simply cover the mason jars tightly with lids and store them in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.
