Made with just a handful of everyday ingredients readily available at your local grocery store, the prep work for this favorite dish takes just minutes. There’s no need for fancy equipment – a Crockpot (slow cooker) is all that’s required.

What makes this recipe special is the ‘magic’ of Ranch seasoning, which elevates bland chicken breasts into a mouthwatering delight and effortlessly creates a savory gravy that even picky kids will love.

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 packet Ranch dressing mix
  • 10.5 ounces condensed cream of chicken soup

Store leftover chicken and gravy in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.

Tips

  • To quickly shred the cooked chicken, you can use a handheld mixer and let the beaters “pull” the chicken apart. (I prefer to use two forks because I am the one who washes dishes.)
  • Spoon the chicken and gravy mixture over mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles along with a side of green beans and cranberry sauce.
  • Season with black pepper and additional salt, if desired.
  • If you are working on keeping your carbs to a minimum, serve over cauliflower rice.

Can you put raw chicken in a Crockpot?

Yes, you can. According to the USDA, “The direct heat from the pot, lengthy cooking and steam created within the tightly-covered container combine to destroy bacteria and make the slow cooker a safe process for cooking foods.”

Is it better to cook chicken on HIGH or LOW in the slow cooker?

For best results, cook chicken on LOW in a slow cooker/Crockpot.
