Homemade French Fry Seasoning
If you’re looking to spice up your next batch of home-cooked french fries, try making your own homemade french fry seasoning! It’s really easy, and it takes just a few ingredients.

Ingredients
The following spices are used to make this great-tasting seasoning blend:
- 2 teaspoons garlic salt
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper

Directions
Combine all ingredients in a small container and mix until fully combined.
Use immediately or store in a sealed container in a dry pantry for up to 6 months.
Recipe Notes and Tips
- If you don’t like a spicy seasoning, swap out the cayenne for more paprika.
- If you like it a bit spicier, double the cayenne.
- If you don’t have garlic salt, you can use garlic powder and add some salt to taste.
- This amount lasted about three times through having fries for dinner (4 people).
- How much you use will depend on your preferences. Add as much or as little as you like.
How To Store Seasoning
Store seasoning in an airtight container at room temperature.
It’s important to store this seasoning in an area without high humidity as this will cause it to clump or harden. (Remember, it has no preservatives.)
Look for spice jars with shaker lids at Amazon.com or your local store. You can also use recycled spice jars to store your homemade seasoning mix.

How To Use Fry Seasoning
Sprinkle your Fry Seasoning over freshly cooked french fries. If you make homemade battered French fries, add some seasoning to the batter before you deep fry the fries.
You can sprinkle it over roasted veggies, chicken wings, potato wedges, popcorn, and more!
