This Saltine Cracker Toffee, also known as Christmas Crack, is the ultimate holiday treat! Made with buttery toffee, melted chocolate, and a sprinkle of festive toppings, it’s a simple yet irresistible dessert. Perfect for gifting, holiday parties, or satisfying your sweet tooth!
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil and spray with non-stick cooking spray.
Lay the saltine crackers in a single, even layer on the prepared cookie sheet.
Melt the unsalted butter and brown sugar over medium heat in a small saucepan. Stir constantly until the mixture reaches a rolling boil. Let it boil for 2–3 minutes, then remove from heat.
Carefully pour the hot mixture over the crackers, spreading it evenly. Bake 4–5 minutes or until bubbly.
Remove the crackers from the oven and immediately sprinkle semi-sweet chocolate chips over the toffee mixture. Allow them to sit for 1–2 minutes to melt, then spread the melted chocolate evenly over the crackers.
Sprinkle chopped pecans and, if desired, holiday sprinkles on top of the melted chocolate. Let cool completely at room temperature, or refrigerate to speed up the process.
Once the candy has hardened, break it into pieces and store in an airtight container.
