Take a block of cream cheese and place it on a serving plate.
Warm ½ – 1 cup of jelly, jam, or preserves so that it can be poured over the cream cheese. You can do that either by putting it in a small pot and warming over low heat on the stove top or by microwaving it for about 20 – 30 seconds on HIGH. Stir the jelly well.
Top cream cheese with warmed jelly, jam, or preserves.
