These festive Christmas Tree Oreos are a fun and easy holiday treat that everyone will love. With a crispy Oreo base, smooth candy coating, and decorative sprinkles, they’re the perfect addition to your holiday menu. Make them for parties, cookie exchanges, or as a special holiday gift!
Melt the Candy - Start by melting the white candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl using 30-second intervals, stirring between each one until smooth. If you prefer a double boiler, that's another great way to melt the chocolate without scorching it. In a separate bowl, melt the green candy melts until they’re completely smooth.
Dip the Oreos - Dip the bottom of each Oreo into the melted white chocolate, ensuring that the bottom is fully coated. Gently tap the fork with narrow prongs on the edge of the bowl to remove any excess chocolate. Place the coated Oreos onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or wax paper to prevent sticking.
Create the Christmas Trees - Transfer the melted green candy melts to a piping bag fitted with a small round tip or simply snip the end of a plastic bag. Drizzle the green candy melts over the top of each Oreo in a zig-zag motion to create the look of a Christmas tree.
Decorate the Trees - While the green candy coating is still wet, place a star sprinkle at the top of the tree. Sprinkle the nonpareils over the green candy melts to add a festive touch. If you like, add some coconut oil to the melted chocolate to create a smoother drizzle.
Set and Serve - Allow the cookies to set completely. You can speed up the process by placing the baking sheet in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes. Once set, carefully remove the Christmas Tree Oreos from the parchment paper and they’re ready to serve.
