This Chocolate Pretzel Bark with Caramel is a deliciously sweet and salty treat made with crunchy pretzels, rich melted chocolate, gooey homemade salted caramel, M&M’s, and chopped peanuts. Perfect for any occasion, it’s easy to make and always a crowd favorite.
Prep the Base: Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Spread pretzels in an even layer.
Melt the Chocolate: Use a double boiler or a microwave-safe bowl to melt the semi-sweet chocolate. Stir until smooth and creamy. Pour the melted chocolate over the pretzels, spreading evenly with an offset spatula or butter knife. Sprinkle M&M’s and peanuts on top.
Make the Salted Caramel: Heat sugar in a medium saucepan over medium-low heat, stirring constantly, until it melts into an amber-colored liquid.
Add butter carefully—it will bubble. Whisk until fully incorporated.
Slowly drizzle in heavy cream while whisking. Let the mixture boil for 1–2 minutes. Stir in sea salt.
