Preheat the oven to 350°. Spray a 9x13 dish with non-stick baking spray.
Place the apple pie filling into the bottom of the baking dish in an even layer.
Top with cake mix and apple pie spice.
Pour melted butter over the top as evenly as you can.
Place in oven and bake for 40-50 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
Let it cool for 5 minutes and then serve with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, and/or caramel sauce.

Notes
Leftovers should be fine stored in an airtight container at room temperature for a day or two. For longer storage - up to 5 days, store leftover apple dump cake in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
