Savory Pinwheel Sandwiches

These pinwheel sandwiches are good for summer snacks, school lunches, and make amazing appetizers. Feel free to customize it to suit your personal tastes.

Ingredients

  • 4 10-inch flour tortillas
  • 8 slices turkey lunch meat
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • 2 slices cheese

Savory Spread

  • ½ cup cream cheese softened
  • 2 tbsp sour cream
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp onion powder
  • tsp salt

Instructions

  • Prepare the savory spread. Place cream cheese and sour cream in a large mixing bowl and beat until smooth and creamy.
  • Blend in garlic powder, black pepper, onion powder, and salt to the cream cheese mixture.
  • Spoon ¼ of the savory spread over each tortilla.
  • Top each tortilla with 2 slices of turkey lunch meat and lettuce leaf. Add ½ cheese slice in the middle of the tortilla.
  • Beginning at the end closest to you, roll the sandwiches tightly. Place the sandwiches in the refrigerator to firm up for 15 - 20 minutes.
  • Remove the sandwiches from the refrigerator and cut each sandwich into 4-6 pieces.

You can add ¼ dried dill to the savory cream cheese spread for a Ranch-like flavor.
Feel free to use your favorite cheese in this recipe.  American cheese and Swiss cheese are great options.
