Things  To Do In Harpers Ferry

Harpers Ferry is an ideal destination to get away from it all. From outdoor activities like tube riding or hiking through scenic areas, there's plenty here that will suit your interests!

Harpers Ferry is a historic town located at the confluence of the Potomac and Shenandoah rivers.

The town was the site of John Brown's raid on Harper’s Ferry which sparked off armed conflicts between slavery supporters and anti-slavery troops.

For the best view of the city, hike up the Maryland Heights Trail.  It's an approximately 4.5 mile roundtrip hike and it's FREE.

If you work up an appetite from the hike, head to The Rabbit Hole. The portions are generous and you could easily split one meal between two people.

History buffs with a sweet tooth will really like Tru Treats Candy, a candy store full of historical candy dating as far back as the 1700s.

After an adventurous day of hiking the mountain, take a leisure float down the Shenandoah River to cool off and relax.
