From mouth-watering chocolate dipped cookie bases to a heavenly topping of toasted coconut, you'll enjoy these oversized treats that will remind you of Samoas Cookies.

The cookie base is made with common ingredients: flour, baking powder, salt, shortening, eggs, sugar, milk, and vanilla. The dough is rolled out and cut into doughnut shapes.

Toast coconut in oven at 325 degrees for 10 minutes.  Combine the toasted coconut with store-bought caramel sauce to make the sweet topping.

After the cookies have baked and cooled, it's time to get started on the assembly. First, coat the back with a thin layer of chocolate.

After the bottom has set, place a little bit of caramel sauce on top. Then add the coconut-caramel mixture on top of that.

To finish them off, drizzle melted chocolate over the tops of the cookies. Let the chocolate firm up before enjoying.
