I bought a box of mix at the store to make at home. Was it like the dessert served at the restaurant?
Nope. It did not turn out like I had hoped. However, I have a recipe that produces nearly identical results and you can make it at home.
Ooey Gooey Buttercake Ingredients
1 Box Yellow Cake Mix
8 ounces Cream Cheese
1 Stick of Butter
16 ounces Powdered Sugar
Place cake mix, 1 egg, and stick of butter (melted) into bowl of mixer and beat for 1 minute until it becomes a soft dough. Spread the mixture evenly over bottom baking dish.
Combine remaining eggs, cream cheese, and powder sugar in mixer bowl and beat until smooth. Spread cream cheese mixture over cake batter and bake for 35-40 minutes until golden brown.
