Paula Deen is known for her delicious Southern cooking.  She even has restaurants serving up some great mains, sides, and desserts.

You can enjoy a slice of Paula Deen's Ooey Gooey Butter Cake at her restaurant in Pigeon Forge.

I bought a box of mix at the store to make at home.  Was it like the dessert served at the restaurant?

Nope.  It did not turn out like I had hoped.  However, I have a recipe that produces nearly identical results and you can make it at home.

Ooey Gooey Buttercake Ingredients

1 Box Yellow Cake Mix

3 Eggs

8 ounces Cream Cheese

1 Stick of Butter

16 ounces Powdered Sugar

Place cake mix, 1 egg, and stick of butter (melted) into bowl of mixer and beat for 1 minute until it becomes a soft dough. Spread the  mixture evenly over bottom baking dish.
