Ingredients:

frozen hash browns

cheese

onion

sour cream

black pepper

salt

salted butter

corn flakes

chives

condensed cream of chicken soup

This recipe is popular around the country and is known by a few other names, among them Funeral Potatoes, Cheesy Potatoes, and Amish Funeral Potatoes.

Combine hash browns, cream of chicken soup, cheese, sour cream, onion, salt, pepper, and melted butter in a large mixing bowl. Pour the mixed ingredients into the prepared baking dish.

Crush corn flakes until the total volume is equal to 2 cups. Toss the crushed corn flakes with melted butter.

Spread the Corn Flake mixture over the top of the potato casserole and bake in the preheated oven.
