Scratch-Made Southern Buttermilk Biscuits

These southern-style buttermilk biscuits are made from scratch with only three ingredients.  They can be made in under 30 minutes from start to finish.

INGREDIENTS – 2 cups of self-rising flour – 6 Tablespoons of cold butter – 1 cup of buttermilk

          DIRECTIONS Place flour in a bowl and “cut” butter into pea-size pieces.  Add buttermilk and mix well with a spoon. Pat dough out into a circle a circle.

Cut out biscuits with a biscuit cutter or a glass.

Bake the biscuits in a 450 degree oven for 11-12 minutes.   Carefully remove them when they have a nice, golden top
