This southern-inspired baked beans recipe is hearty and filling. It includes ground beef for protein, absorbing all the BBQ sauce goodness! 

Cook bacon in a large non-stick skillet.  Remove the bacon and drain the fat. Add ground beef and onion to the skillet and cook until the meat is no longer pink. Drain the fat.

Return the cooked bacon to the skillet.

Add three cans of beans such as pinto, kidney, and butter bean. A combination of all three works well.

Stir in barbecue sauce and water. Spoon into a casserole dish, cover, and bake for 50 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
