Turquoise Place in Orange Beach

Walking into Turquois Place, it was easy to see why it earned the number one spot. The resort is luxurious and offers guests a home away from home. The resort has 3, 4, and 5-bedroom residences, all with plenty of room for guests to spread out and relax.
I have stayed in a couple of units in Turquoise Place and hope to stay there again in the future.
The three-bedroom units offer 2400 square feet of living space and unparalleled luxury on the beach. Let me take you on a tour of where I have stayed.
The Bedrooms
Bathrooms
Each bedroom had a private bath. The master bathroom was spa-like and had a large glass-enclosed shower, a jacuzzi tub, a double vanity, and a large walk-in closet.
The Kitchen and Dining Area
The gourmet state-of-the-art kitchens have a gas range and Sub-Zero refrigerator. (Each kitchen at the resort comes with a starter amenity package which includes a package of coffee and coffee filter, a single-use dishwasher detergent, and a trash bag.)
The unit had a dining table that seats eight, as well as bar stools at the kitchen counter. Plus, there was a dining table outdoor so that guests may dine out on the balcony while watching the sun setting over the Gulf of Mexico.
Near the kitchen was a wet bar with a wine refrigerator to keep your bottles at the perfect temperature.
The Living Area
The living area was set up nicely with a sofa, loveseat, and chair with views of the ocean.
For those days when the temperature takes a dip, there’s a gas fireplace.
The Private Balcony
Each unit comes equipped with a small outdoor kitchen with an outdoor grill and sink, as well as a hot tub and a glorious view of the Gulf of Mexico.
The expansive gulf-facing balconies are a great place to sit back and relax. (That’s why you are there, right?)
And for those wet swimsuits, there is a solution – a washing machine and dryer in the unit. With the washer and dryer, there’s no need to overpack. (Returning home with dirty clothes is optional.)
The Spectrum Club Lounge
Resort guests who book directly through Spectrum enjoy the use of the 5th-floor lounge. Guests are provided with wristbands that function as a key to both their condo as well as the lounge.
During the morning, breakfast is served. Items available are scrambled eggs and toppings, waffles, oatmeal, muffins, and fruit. Coffee and juice are also available.
Breakfast is served in the lounge from 7 AM until 10 AM.
At noon, the lounge opens up and guests can play billiards, table tennis, board games, and more – it’s all included.
Change of Pace Poolside Bar and Grill
The resort has a casual outdoor restaurant at the bottom of the C tower by the outdoor pools. It’s open from 11 AM until 6 PM seasonally and is a great place to grab a bite or adult beverage. Resort guests who charge their purchases to their rooms receive 10% off. The prices are affordable and the convenience cannot be beaten.
Other Amenities
Other amenities at Turquoise Place include a 450-foot lazy river located on the 4th floor of D-tower, an indoor pool, sauna and steam room, tennis courts, and a state-of-the-art fitness center.
Another perk of booking directly through Spectrum is that they provide you with beach towels to use during your stay. In our 3 bedroom unit, we were provided with 6 super nice towels. (This mom appreciated the fact that I did not have to find space to pack beach towels in our luggage.)
Beach Access
One of the best features is the quick and easy access to the beach. Turquoise Place is right on the beach.
Check-In/Check-Out Times
Check-in time at the resort is 4:00 PM. (Alabama is in the Central Time zone.). Express check-in is available through the Turquoise Place Mobile App. There is a $100 fee for early arrivals.
Check-out time is 10:00 AM.
Parking at the Resort
The parking fee to park at Turquoise Place is $50 for the duration of the stay. For additional vehicles, there is a $50 charge for the second vehicle for the duration of the stay and a $30 charge per NIGHT for a third vehicle. Additional parking is available for free at an off-site location.
Prohibited vehicles include RVs and campers, trailers, buses, boats and jet skis, off-road vehicles, and other vehicles that management deems too large for a parking space.

Wow the looks huge, makes sense that the rooms are so spacious, much nicer than the rooms where you feel cooped up. Being so close to the beach sounds amazing!

When you look at costs, for a little more you can have so much more. It’s a great place to stay.
I’ll admit, I don’t think of Alabama as a travel destination. But this place looks amazing! And those shrimp tacos…I’m really hungry now. And the beach there really looks gorgeous!
