Slim Chickens

Slim Chickens is a fast-casual restaurant chain specializing in chicken dishes. It was founded in 2003 by Greg Smart and Tom Gordon in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The company has more than 100 locations across the United States. It may remind you of Zaxby’s, but with a larger variety of menu options.

The casual, counter-service restaurant has a fun and festive atmosphere. And, the food is reasonably priced.

For smaller appetites, there are two items on the kids’ menu (a chicken tender meal and a mac n cheese meal) and for hungry families, there are family meals (picnic pack, grab and go pack, southern style family pack, and the crowd pleaser pack).

What makes Slim Chickens so special? For starters, all of their chicken is marinated in a buttermilk mixture and hand-breaded. They also have 17 different dipping sauces to choose from, including Buffalo, Honey Mustard, and Ranch.

Their signature chicken strip is a must-try. It is served with your choice of sauce, French fries, toast, and a drink.

There are four chicken sandwiches on the menu: Chicken Club, Cayenne Ranch, Buffalo Ranch, and Crispy Chicken.

If wings are your thing, you can order a meal with 6 wings or 8 wings or as part of a combo meal with chicken tenders (3 wings and 3 tenders or 5 wings and 5 chicken tenders).

And if you’re looking for something a little lighter, wraps (Smokey Cheddar, Buffalo, and Slim’s) and their signature salad (Slim’s Salad) that comes with salad greens, chicken tenders, shredded cheese, cucumbers, tomatoes, fried onions, carrots, and croutons.

If you like strawberries, they have the seasonally available Fresh Grilled Chicken Strawberry Salad which has feta cheese crumbles, crisp cucumbers, candied pecans, strawberries, and grilled chicken tenders.

To top off your meal, Slim Chickens has 4 milkshakes (chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, and Oreo) on the menu, as well as decadent jar desserts with chocolate brownie pudding, strawberry cheesecake, and Oreo cheesecake.
