I would like to introduce you Rao’s Homemade, a line of pasta and sauces (and more!) whose history dates back to 1896. The delicious homemade pasta sauces, oils, and marinades are all thoughtfully prepared with only the finest all-natural ingredients cooked in true Italian fashion.
I recently cooked a package of their Penne Rigate and was surprised to find out that it was actually made in Italy.
Pasta would not be complete without a great sauce, so I browned some beef and added Rao’s Arrabbiata Fra Diavolo Sauce. It has a touch of heat which subtly hits you after you have taken a bite. What I really like about the sauce, aside from flavor, is that it has no added sugar.
The ingredients are all natural: Italian tomatoes, olive oil, fresh onions, salt, fresh garlic, fresh basil, crushed red pepper, black pepper, and oregano. It has 3 total carbs and only 2 net carbs per 1/2 cup serving. (That’s great for those on low carb diets. You can sub out the pasta and still enjoy the tasty sauce!)
Rao’s Specialty Foods also offers a selection of dressings and marinades, extra virgin olive oil, balsamic glazes, Italian pasta, and certified organic Italian Tomatoes. They also make organic vinegar and aged balsamic vinegar.
Look for Rao’s Homemade at your local grocery store. If you don’t see it there, you can buy it online at www.Raos.com.
