Chicken Cobb with Avocado
As a child, I could not wait to grow up. Little did I know that there would be so much to do as an adult. Trying to find balance in everything is important more now than it ever has been before.

One of my priorities is to be fit.
I try to fit going to the gym three times a week, in addition to walking around the neighborhood with my husband. Since it is summertime, I am working on getting my Vitamin D the natural way by soaking up some sun around the pool.
When it comes to food, I am trying to eat more fruits and vegetables. According to the government’s guidelines, I should be eating 2 1/2 cups of vegetables. Every. Single. Day.
BBQ Chicken Salad
I admit that cooking vegetables has not been my strong suit, but I am working on that. I have planted a small garden with some peppers and squash. But truth be told, I really enjoy dining out. However, I like to feel good about what I am eating, so when I eat out I try to eat food that I can feel good about eating and typically I order salads.
I am so delighted that Panera has a clean menu, with at least a dozen salads to choose from. The salads are made without high fructose corn syrup, added trans-fats, or MSG. The chicken that they use is meat from birds that were raised without antibiotics.
Fuji Apple Chicken Salad
The hardest part about eating at Panera is deciding which salad to order. I LOVE the BBQ Chicken Salad and usually order it. No matter what salad I order off of Panera’s “clean” menu, I can feel good about I am getting. Not only does it taste great, but it is good for me, too. I can’t think of better way to eat my daily veggies.
