I am a big fan of subscription boxes. Getting them in the mail is like getting a Christmas present full of new things to try. There’s quite a variety of boxes out there – clothing, snacks, dinner, etc. But did you realize that there is one that’s geared toward today’s modern man? It’s aptly called Mantry.
Inside each shipment are six full-sized American handcrafted foods that have been sourced from around the country. The items come with a custom product manual with stories and sometimes recipes.
There is a theme for each crate. The theme for the crate that pictured here is comfort food.
Let’s Take A Look Inside
In no particular order, let’s examine what came in my comfort crate. First of all, there was a bag of Coconut Butter Cookies by Lark Fine Foods. They have a hint of rum and are described as “cookies for grownups.”
Next up is a bottle of Yellowbird Blue Agave Siracha that was made in Austin. The label on the bottle states, “Yellowbirds, by nature, are immune to the heat from spicy peppers and therefore have free reign over this abundant food source. While other animals tuck and run at a mere whiff of the heat, the Yellowbird is leisurely dining in the comfort of the pepper garden, basking in the flavor of the spice. Be the bird.” Yes!
Ficks All Natural Premium Cocktail Mix – Moscow Mule. Each bottle of Ficks is meticulously handcrafted and infused with essential vitamins and electrolytes while keeping the sugar to a minimum.
Comfort foods aren’t relegated to dinner and dessert. Farm To Table Foods takes an artisans approach to making their own blend of organic oats in small batches. They believe that the best organic ingredients come from small family farms. (I can’t argue with that, now can I?)
Inside my crate, I discovered a pack of Chef’s Cut Chipotle Cracked Pepper. High in protein, the jerky is handcrafted and is tender and flavorful.
And last, but not least, a bar of Fine & Raw chocolate. Handmade in Brooklyn, each artisanal bar is made with organic ingredients by a company that is obsessed with making the finest chocolate in the world. Plus, the bars are plant-based. All of that makes them winners in my book.
I love the assorted items in each box. Mantry curates an eclectic variety that provides the recipient an opportunity to experience new foods from around the country.
Even though Mantry bills itself as The Modern Man’s Pantry, I think it would be a great gift for a woman, too. (The mini crates are just too darn cute!) Subscriptions start at $49 every two months. (Click here for more information on subscription options.)
I think a Mantry box would make a great gift. Think about those times when you can’t think of what to get that special man in your life for Father’s Day, anniversary, graduation, etc.
We have one simple mission: To deliver a new and exciting food experience every month. Our bi-monthly crate allows you to discover and eat 6 full-size, super premium foods from around America, with little commitment.
The food & beverage items that you’ll receive in your Mantry are not your typical grocery store varieties. Led by the hand of amazing Artisan makers, these foods are painstakingly sourced and lovingly crafted into the perfect original theme (i.e. Bourbon Breakfast, Hecho en America).
At Mantry, we believe in our artisan partners and the quality of their products. Some are small upstarts, fighting for a chance to change the way Tonic is seen. Some are award-winning restaurant Chefs who live on the vanguard of cuisine and culinary excellence. Each of them pours their heart and soul into their craft.
