Affordable Beachfront Hotel -The Hilton Garden Inn in Orange Beach
The Hilton Garden Inn is an affordable hotel located directly on the beach in Orange Beach. Though the property might be smaller than its neighbors, it has everything you need to enjoy a great time at the beach at a more affordable price.
After our stay at the Hilton Garden Inn, we found that while the property may be smaller than its neighbors, it offers everything you need for a fantastic beach experience at a more budget-friendly price. While we love to stay at Turquoise Place or Perdido Beach Resort when we explore Alabama’s beaches, sometimes we need to pinch our pennies.
The Lobby
The hotel lobby is light, airy, and spacious, but not intimidating.
The hotel’s dining area is the first thing you see on the right when walking in. There are plenty of tables and chairs, but during peak hours you might want to arrive early to get your favorite seat.
Visitors to the hotel can enjoy a relaxing time in the cozy lounge area located across the lobby from the dining area. The television screen is perfect for catching up on current events you may have missed and there are several comfortable chairs.
Next to the check-in counter is a small shop that sells snacks and cold beverages. It’s stocked with many different flavors of chips as well as an assortment of sodas, water, and other delicious beverages.
In-Room Amenities
If you’re looking for a hotel with the amenities of home, Hilton Garden Inn has you covered. With free wifi and a Keurig coffee maker in every room, guests can enjoy their morning caffeine without ever leaving their room!
They also offer Neutrogena bath products to make your stay feel like an extended vacation at any time during the day or night.
The best feature of the hotel is that all of the guest rooms have private balconies overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. This serene space provides a perfect place to escape and listen as waves break against distant shores, or even just stare at an infinite horizon – whichever you prefer!
The beach is a short walk away from the hotel pool area and is a perfect place to walk off some of those calories you consumed at lunch!
Other Amenities
Swimming in the ocean is not your “thing?” I totally get it. It’s nice to know that there is an outdoor heated pool at the Hilton Garden Inn as well as a seasonal poolside tiki bar. You can order up a tasty cocktail and lay back and soak up some rays around the pool.
Other amenities at the property include free parking, a 24-hour fitness center (with a pool view!), a 24-hour business center, the 24-hour Pavilion Pantry with snacks and sundries, and guest laundry.
There is also the full-service Garden Grille cafe that serves breakfast and limited lunch items.
Breakfast Details
Breakfast may or may not be included in your stay – make sure to ask when booking. If you plan on including breakfast as part of your stay at the hotel there are many options from a buffet-style spread to made-to-order omelets and bacon!

In case you are wondering, parking is free at the hotel for guests.
Orange Beach
Being located on the beach makes it ideal for those who like to wake up and go for a stroll on the sugar-white sand.
If you really want to make the most of your beach vacation, you can rent beach chairs and umbrellas from Perdido Beach Service (from March until September). Perdido Beach Service also rents stand-up paddleboards, boogie boards, kayaks, and captained Hobies (kayaks).
