g. Foley’s in Panama City

g. Foley’s was a great place to eat in Panama City. The casual fine dining atmosphere made you feel right at home, and their delicious food made you long for more.

g Foley's restaurant in Panama City, Florida

We are sad to report that g. Foley’s closed their doors in early July 2022. The owners, Jim and Melodee Weber, decided to retire. The following was written while the restaurant was still operating.

Their menu features fresh, local ingredients that are sure to please your taste buds. g. Foley’s is the perfect spot for a romantic night out, or a night with friends.

g. Foley’s might be one of the best-kept secrets in Panama City.  Located in a non-ostentatious building on West 23rd Street, it is the spot where locals go for fresh farm-to-table food.

Dining Options

After guests enter the building, they can choose to dine in one of the inside dining areas, at the bar, or outside on the patio.  If the weather is nice, I recommend dining outside on the patio, especially when they have live music.  (Check the bottom of their web page for weekly event specials.)

The Chef

Chef Chris Infinger.
Chef Chris Infinger

g. Foley’s is lucky to have Chef Chris Infinger at the helm.  He is a Panama City native who ” has a deep founded passion for local flavors and local sources for all of his creations.” His formal training took place at the Florida Culinary Institute in West Palm Beach.

Chef Infinger has the knack for combining local ingredients to tempt your palate while challenging your taste buds.  He hand selects the fresh catch of the day at the Tarpon Dock Seafood Market and has gotten to know growers and suppliers at the local markets.

The tuna dip on toast points topped with tomatoes and jalapenos is amazing, and that is not something that I would normally say about tuna.

LUMP CRAB HUSH PUPPIES – Sweet Corn & Alabama Lump Crab Hush Puppies with Green Goddess Dressing

The Lump Crab Hush Puppies are listed on the dinner menu as an appetizer, but they are hardy enough to be a meal.  They are crispy on the outside and the crab and corn on the inside were cooked perfectly.
