This year’s weather has been crazy. So crazy that I have to turn on the television to see the daily forecast to know whether or not it is short weather or heavy coat. It kinda puts a monkey wrench into my meal planning, too.
Do we want nice hot soup or a refreshing salad? Fortunately, since I have TruMoo in the fridge, I can pour a nice cold glass of chocolate milk for my son or heat it up for a decadent cup of Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate.
I like TruMoo because it is made with fresh, local milk and has NO artificial growth hormones*, NO high fructose corn syrup, and is delicious. And as I just mentioned, it’s versatile, too. It’s great straight from the fridge (nice and cold) or heated up.
I like to use TruMoo to make this decadent Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate For Two to enjoy with my son. It is so simple to make and is ready in a matter of minutes.
How To Make Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate
To make it, pour 1/4 cup of caramel sauce into 2 cups of TruMoo. Add 1/4 teaspoon of sea salt and stir. Place the milk mixture into the microwave and heat for around 2 minutes on HIGH. Carefully remove the hot chocolate and pour it into two mugs.
Top each mug with whipped cream.
Drizzle with caramel sauce.
Drizzle with chocolate syrup and sprinkle the top with sea salt.
Now all that is left is to enjoy it.
- 2 cups TruMoo Chocolate Milk
- 6 Tablespoons caramel sauce, divided
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt, divided
- 1 cup whipped cream
- 1/4 cup chocolate syrup, optional
- Heat TruMoo Chocolate Milk, 1/4 cup caramel sauce, and 1/4 teaspoon salt in microwave for 2 to 2 1/2 minutes (until desired warmth). Stir well.
- Pour hot chocolate into two mugs.
