There’s a new culinary behavior and I bet you haven’t heard of it. Want to know what it is? Here’s a little hint – it’s going to make you love your veggies! Did I just hear a gasp? Yes – it’s going to make you love your veggies. It sure has me loving my Roasted Veggies (With Thai Chili Finishing Sauce).
You have probably seen Marzetti® salad dressings at your local grocery store. (Aren’t they great?!) Well, this is a brand new product from Marzetti® that you should look for near the refrigerated pre-cut/pre-prepared veggies. It’s called Marzetti® Veggie Drizzle™ Finishing Sauce and for cooked vegetables.
There are four flavors to choose from – or you can get them all and be creative in your kitchen.
- Thai Chili
- Garlic Parmesan
- Lemon Basil
- Honey Balsamic
My family and I have an affinity for Asian cuisine, so it was natural for me to roast my veggies and then finish them with flavors that are both sweet and spicy and transport our taste buds to the far East. Roasted Veggies With Thai Chili Finishing Sauce are so easy to make. Let me share with you the simple how-to.
You will need a bag of baby carrots, a couple of onions, and some bell peppers. I like to use a variety of bell peppers for both color and for flavor. The carrots and onions will need to roast at 425 degrees for about 15 minutes before adding the bell peppers, and then all of the veggies will roast for 20 – 25 minutes.
Once the vegetables are through cooking, remove them from the oven and place in a bowl. You can actually leave them “plain” and allow your family and guests to finish them with a drop or dollop of Marzetti® Veggie Drizzle™ Thai Chili Finishing Sauce. Or they can get fancy and create a zig zag pattern on their plate with the Veggie Drizzle™ and top it with the veggies.
No matter which flavor you use to finish your veggies, you will be glad that you find that the line of Marzetti® Veggie Drizzle™ Finishing Sauce is easy to use, delicious, and only have 20-45 calories per serving.
