Thanks, Hamilton Beach, for sending me your Professional 14 Cup Dicing Food Processor. I love it! #HBPro
See the flour in the work bowl of my Hamilton Beach Professional 14 Cup Dicing Food Processor above? It didn’t stay that way long. I added a water and yeast mixture through the food chute and something almost magical happened.
Can you guess what I made? Pizza! Because it comes with a dough blade, I was able to make pizza dough in my new food processor. How cool is that? (Below is a picture of the end result.)
I was surprised at what all this workhorse can do. It does all of what you would expect a food processor to do: it slices and it shreds. But what really got my attention is that it cubes, too.
My husband’s favorite soup is Potato Soup and he is always good about helping cut up the potatoes and dicing onions. The downside of the recipe is that it takes a while to cut up 5 pounds of potatoes, you know? I was so excited when he came home while I was preparing it because I was able to show him just how fast I was able to cube two potatoes. (It took about 5 seconds!)
The food processor also worked great dicing my onions.
And on top of that, it shredded my bag of carrots like nobody’s business. I am so glad I can stop paying extra for shredded carrots at the grocery store.
This food processor is going to be put to good use in the New Year. I plan on eating a lot more fruits and vegetables and will be trying new recipes. On that note, one of the first that I tried when I got the Professional 14 Cup Dicing Food Processor was baked sweet potato chips. In order to have uniform slices, I used the food processor’s adjustable slicing disk. (I placed the setting at 2 for the chips below.)
In addition to the adjustable slicing blade which has 14 thickness settings (you can quickly create the thinnest potato slices), there’s a dicing blade that allows you to cut uniform ingredients for salsa, chutneys and more. The unique 3-in-1 Big Mouth feed tube allow for less pre-cutting, so think of this baby as a real time saver. And most importantly for those who don’t like to do dishes, the blades, bowl, and lid are dishwasher safe.
Here’s what it looks like in action:
